‘painting is a process of transformation’
For me, the joy of painting is a process of expressive transformation. I am not aiming to reproduce a literal representation of the world around me, but to create something new, to translate what I see through the filters of my own experience and communicate something uniquely personal and, in doing so, encourage the viewer to see the world with fresh eyes, and find a resonance with their own experience.
